Crandall Park Basketball Courts

The basketball courts at Crandall Park were identified in the Capital Improvement Plan for renovation in Fiscal Year 2025-2026. The courts have significant cracks from age and the slope from the parking lot to the courts continually washes away, causing damage to the parking lot. Condition photos are linked below.
The Town has contracted with Hemlock Construction for the renovation work. The scope of work will include:
- removal of the existing court and replacement of a new, asphalt court;
- new basketball hoops;
- new fencing;
- installation of a retaining wall with drainage at the base of the slope,
- regrading the slope;
- repair to the damaged areas in the parking lot and installation of a curb;
- repair to the stairs from the parking lot to the courts, and
- the installation of a new ADA-accessible pathway from the parking lot to the courts.
Work began in March 2026, with the removal of the existing courts.
