What is the home owner's role in the Revaluation?

Since the last revaluation conducted in 2019, real estate values have changed. The basic idea behind a revaluation of all properties is to adjust the values of all real property with in the town boundaries to redistribute any unfair tax burden that is a result of a changing market. Below are the schedule of tasks.

1. Sales questionnaires have been generated and will be sent to all sale properties that have been sold since October 1, 2022. Homeowners are requested to return these questionnaires as soon as possible for analysis and follow up with any questions.

2. Sales inspections will be conducted as necessary.

3. Once an initial sales analysis has been completed the Assessor will field review the sales to ensure data accuracy.
