Notice of Taxes Due

Notice is hereby given to the taxpayers of the Town of Tolland that the second installment of real estate, personal property, and motor vehicle tax bills, as well as any supplemental bills you may have received in December of 2023, on the grand list of October 1, 2022 are due January 1, 2024, payable by February 1, 2024 without penalty.

The last day to pay in person at the Tax Office without interest is Thursday, February 1, 2024 by 7:30 PM. The last day to pay by mail (USPS postmark required) without interest is Thursday, February 1, 2024 or you may use the Town Hall drop box.  Payments left in the box after 7:30 PM on Thursday, February 1, 2024 will be late and accrue interest.

Payments can be made online. Your transaction must be completed prior to midnight on February 1, 2024. Visit the Town of Tolland website at www.tollandct.gov, click on Help Center and Pay Taxes Online.  ACH payments (electronic checks) are a flat fee of $1.95 for all bills and credit card payment fees will be 2.99%.  Credit card payments are now accepted in the office with a 2.65% fee or a minimum fee of $3.00.

Per State Statute 12-145, interest of 1.5% per month from the due date of January 1 with a minimum charge of $2.00 is applied to all delinquent bills.

Office hours are: Monday – Wednesday from 8 AM–4:30 PM, Thursday 8 AM–7:30 PM. Town Hall, including the Tax Office, is closed on Friday.

Failure to receive a tax bill will not invalidate the tax or any interest which may, by State law, accrue.
